Cash For Clunkers Pushes Used Car Prices Up As Much as 30%

WIOD NewsRadio 610 - News | Traffic | Weather - 24
If buying a used car is among your cost-cutting prepared to pay up to 30-percent more than you did last year.  It is a simple case of supply and demand.  Trouble is...there are fewer used cars.  The cash-for-clunkers program took a bunch off the market.

Government intervention only temporarily changes the market. It doesn't solve problems. The distortions confuse consumers and unfairly distribute benefits.
